Project Contributions

The contributions that I did for the project:

  1. Research on my own topic with more depth (mazda rotary engine)
  2. The team decided to focus more on the 737 MCAS, so conducted a research on MCAS.
  3. Created my own Google Docs research
  4. Created a team Google Docs research for team to throw in their research.

Updated on 1/11/24
  1. Prepared interview questions on google docs and checked with the team on what they think about it.
  2. Researched on google and google scholar why the Boeing 737 MCAS system is inadequate (focused on the AOA sensors)
  3. After the research, worked with the team to improve on the problem statements.
Updated 7/11/24
  1. Started on the report and wrote on one part of the proposed solutions(MEMS sensors).
  2. Using articles found on google on the benefits of MEMS sensors to be used in the report.
  3. Added more points to the introduction of the report.
  4. Prepared a script document to prepare for team's practice
Updated 14/11/24
  1. Improve on content for the presentation and decide with the team our presentation sub-topic.
  2. Added content onto Google slides
  3. Got different people to stand at corners of the classrooms to gauge how much louder my voice had to be
  4. Rehearsed our presentation in actual and virtually.
  5. Tried the 'ha voice projection' technique as recommended by some of my classmates
  6. Continued working on the report (created a benefits section)
Updated 21/11/24
  1. More work was done on the report with the group. Wrote on the MEMS sensor for solutions and the benefits section.
  2. Researched the specific benefits and characteristics of the MEMS and Magnetoresistive health sensors through manufacturer's websites and scholarly articles on 'aircraft health sensor improving performance'.

Updated on 25/11/24
  1. Shifted the benefits that are scattered around the report to the benefits section
  2. Created the transmittal letter using copilot and included prompts like incorporating 'mems sensors' and 'magnetoresistive sensors' into the AOA sensors.
  3. Updated the titles on the content page
  4. Added another evidence, an article on "how confidence affects pilots" to support an argument made in the report.
Updated on 30/11/24
  1. The team met again virtually and I checked the plagiarism and used Grammarly on the benefits section.
  2. Shifted the transmittal letters into a separate document for the scribe to submit.
